Lightroom 4 is about to drop and I wanted to lay out some of the cool features coming to the new program. I have been using Lightroom for about my entire photography career. I love the ease of use and the organization of the library. I like using Lightroom on a large screen! It’s important to me because I like to have all my tabs out so I can double check everything while I work.
These are a few of the features I think are gonna be awesome!
- Highlight and Shadow recovery: (brings out all the detail that your camera captures in dark shadows and bright highlights.) This is going to be a great add on! I have been waiting for something like this!
- Local Editing Controls: or (LECs) LECs are giving you the option to reduce noise levels and remove more in targeted areas of your image! Big help there for people who suffer from much noise.
- Soft Proofing: Is a way to see how your image will look printed with color-managed printers. This is a great feature for those of us who print at home instead of in lab.
- White Balance Brush: Is a tool allowing you to adjust and refine white balance in specific areas of your image. This will come in handy if you use customs WB.
All the features are really great, I can’t wait to see the finished product. All features are available on the Adobe website (here).
